SKI PE

Grades 3-6 | Limited to 12 skiers

Wednesday afternoons: Jan. 7 - Feb. 4, 2026

Students will be Nordic skiing in beautiful Telluride Town Park with PSIA certified instructors.

Registration & Payment: Registration for Ski PE in 2026 will open at 8am on November 4, 2025. Registration closes on November 12, 2025 at midnight. Payment will be accepted at the Telluride Nordic Center on or before the first day of the winter PE  program.

Cost: $200 for 5 weeks of skiing. Skis, poles and boots are available to rent for an extra $50.

What to Bring: Please be prepared for cold temperatures. Wear a hat, gloves and layered warm clothing. All athletes need to bring a water bottle to keep hydrated!

*For this activity, there is a $50 fee for rental equipment, boots, skis, and poles. This equipment is communal and cannot be taken home. All equipment MUST be returned to the Telluride Nordic Center at the close of each SKI PE. Both classic and skate gear will be utilized as appropriate for student skiers.

* If you are looking to purchase equipment, please note that it is available in limited quantities. Locally, Boot Doctors is most likely to have junior Nordic gear.  All of the TNC gear is NNN. Other kinds of Nordic gear are NOT interchangeable and must be used as a set (boots and skis). This means that if your child has SNS boots they will need SNS skis as well. If they have NNN boots, TNC skis can be used. Only the poles are universal.

*TNC Instructors are certified by PSIA and have current CPR certification. We are looking for parent volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to be on the snow with the students, please contact tnc@telluridenordic.com.
